Thanks to the amazing Gary and Cameron who watched our kids for the weekend - Dave and I were able to go to Siem Reap in Cambodia to visit the infamous Angkor Wat (and Angkor Thom...and others). What a wonderful and magical 3 days, filled with ancient temples, amazing food (Cuisine Wat Damnak was hands down one of the best restaurants we ate at on our global trip), and a number of massages. We stayed at a beautiful small hotel called Maison Polanka. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Everything about it was perfect. I hope to go back someday.
All I can say is wow. Cambodia, well, what I have seen of it, is amazing and it deserves far more of our time than 3 days. I look forward to our return. And it is legitimately cheap. You can't say this for many places any more. A main at a mid-level restaurant puts you back about $1-$3. Not bad.
