This past weekend was one of those beautiful weekends that make you love the Bay Area. The sun was shining, the water was sparkling and the temperature was perfect. On Sunday, it felt like we were on vacation when Nandita, Jochem, Dave and I went to Rodeo Beach in the Marin Headlands. We spent the day lounging in the sun, watching the surfers and talking, followed by a delightful ice cream in Sausalito and an outdoor Mexican dinner in Mill Valley. We could have been somewhere exotic, but no, we were in our own neck if the woods. I do love it here, and I know Ava will love it as well. I am so happy she will be able to call San Francisco her birthplace.Nandita took some beautiful photos at the beach, including several flattering photos of me pregnant. Hi Jill! Kirsten just showed me Ava's website. You look so beautiful! She keeps me up-to-date on how you've been doing since you left NASA; I'm so excited for you and Dave. I can't believe how clearly you can see Ava! All the best to the 3 of you!! Jane
